Emotions: The Pivotal Point of all True Healing
Emotions are a deeply human phenomenon. They are essentially what makes our earthly experience what it is. We may curse them from time to time, we may feel overwhelmed by them or feel that they have a power over us that makes us uncomfortable, but this is only a sure sign that we need to learn more about them.
To me, the essence of any healing work is our engagement with what we truly feel. Emotions and feelings are an essential, crucial part of human life! In fact, our emotions actually are our navigator through this world, our amazing inner feed-back system. They are the way in which our soul communicates with us and directs us to where we are meant to be. Often, we get stuck in the lower-vibrational emotions because we have not learned to read them productively, and often it is our childhood-wounds or, in fact, unresolved trauma and emotions from our ancestors, which make us repeat the same unhealthy pattern again and again.
Much if not all of the drama on this planet stems from unresolved emotions running havoc. Some say, this is the energy which feeds hurricanes. But from my point of view, as someone who has worked with many people on deep, sometimes dramatic, issues and patterns, I can promise you that healing your emotional life does not need to be dramatic. It will require you to be present with yourself and with everything that is there. It can take a little time for us to get used to this new way of operating. The reward for our courage, however — and it TAKES a lot of courage to truly engage with our emotions, at least in the beginning — is that doing so is, in my humble opinion, literally the only path towards all those amazing things we seek: inner peace, joy, true abundance, freedom, love, true connection… And the other piece of good news is: we do not have to do this on our own. In fact, we probably can’t. Emotions are INTRINSICALLY about connection. With something. With someone. True humanity, in my interpretation of the word, means to welcome all of our emotions without fear and to live in an environment where all of our emotions are respected, welcomed, and understood as the carriers of profound, meaningful information with the potential of guiding us towards a deeper understanding of and connection with one another.
We all have the choice — our birthright of free-will — to either stay identified with life being hard, painful, and exhausting and this being how it is, or to use our autonomy and choose to leave the table during our ongoing rendezvous with drama, fear, worry, and repressed anger or grief. We can learn to understand anger, for instance, as a messenger who informs us that one of our boundaries has been crossed. And we can learn to focus on joy, freedom, clarity, bliss, excitement, devotion, and passion. Yes, it may take our full dedication and a little time, but today, there’s really no excuse. New ways of healing our deep wounds and aligning ourselves with the highest frequencies are popping out of no-where/everywhere all the time. So let’s change this planet together! You can help. By tidying up on the inside!
